HOW TO RECOVER FORGOTTEN WIFI PASSWORD

Do you have to give your memory password to someone? But you are unable to remember the password. Are you out of your own network? Because your computer has forgotten your password. If you have your password, you have several options available, or you can reset your router and start afresh? Read further on how to do all this.

Open the network connection window. Windows keeps your network password secure. To view the password saved, open the Network Connections window by right-clicking on the network icon in the system tray and select "Open Network and Sharing Center", then click the "Change Adapter Settings" link from the menu on the left.

Or to open the window you press Windows + R and type NCPA.CPL and press Enter.

Right-click on the wireless adapter: - There may be a label for Wi-Fi or the name of the creator. Select the status from the menu.

Open Connection Properties Windows: - Click on Wireless Properties and press the Security tab.

Viewing Character: - Check in the "Show Character" box and your password will appear. If it is not an option to show the character then take the next step.

Download "Wireless Key View": This is a freeware program from NirSoft that checks the registry of Windows and removes all of the wireless's secure passwords. It does not work in Mac OS. The "wireless key view" can be downloaded for free from NirSoft's website.

The "wireless key view" comes in a zip file that needs to be extracted. There is no need to install the "wireless key view".

Running the program: - Open and run the "Wireless Key View". The "Wireless Key View" window will open.

Finding your password:- The names of all the networks you were connected to will appear on the left-hand column. Select the network whose password you want to remove, then go to the column of "ASCII". This is your wireless password for this network.

In Windows XP, a WPI-PSK "key" will not be visible in ASCII format, instead use the Hexa column for "key". It works like the "key" ASCII "key" but is slightly longer.

Open Utility folder: - This folder is in the Applications folder. You do not need to connect to the network to see the password.

Open the "Keychain Access" program. The keychain program preserves all passwords and login information of the system.

Search your network. Sort the list of keychains by name, and double-click the network whose password you want to see.

See password Click in the "show password" box, enter your administrator password and then the wireless password will appear.

Connect the computer to the router via Ethernet. For this, you will need to connect to the network. If you have forgotten the WiFi password, the only way is to connect the computer to Ethernet.

If it is not connecting to the router via Ethernet, then you must reset the router and go to the original setting and connect using a factory-set WiFi password.

Opening the router configuration page All routers are accessed through a web browser. To open this configuration page, the IP address of the router has to be inserted in the address bar of the browser. Below are some common basic addresses, but the exact address of your router can be seen in its manual or even online by model. Keep in mind that it is possible to change the address of the router by going to its settings.
Netgear: 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1
Linksis: 192.168.1.1
D-Link: 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1
Belkin: 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.2.1

Apple: 10.0.0.1 or 192.168.1.1

Logging in to the router. After entering the correct address, you will be asked for your username and password. Usually, the original username is admin, and the original password is usually admin, password, or empty. Most people change the router after configuring it. If you are unable to remember the username and password, you will have to reset the router.

If you have not changed the original username and password of the router, it will be found in the manual of that router.

Working in the wireless section: When you are logged into the router, look for the "Wireless" or "WiFi" section. This is often in the tab at the top of the page or inside the navigation menu.

Find the password. Your wireless network name (SSID) will appear on the wireless page as well as the type of security or encryption. It can be WAP, WPI, WPI2 or WPI / WPI2. You should see the passphrase or password field near the security option, this is your wireless password.

Find the router's reset button. If you are unable to remember the information logged in to your router, you can reset it to factory default. This will erase all your wireless and network settings, and you will have to configure your network again. Currently, any network you were connected to will break.

The reset button of the router is usually close to the port on the back of the router. You may need a paper clip to press the button.

Press and hold the reset button: - Press and hold the reset button for at least 30 seconds. This ensures that the router is fully reset. The router's lights should be flickering, indicating that the router was reset.

Reconfiguring the network: - Once the router is reset, you can log in using its default login information and configure the network again. If you do not find his default login information in the user manual then you can also look online. In most routers, the default information is printed on the sticker and pasted on the router itself.
To set up a wireless network, open the wireless section from the router configuration page. Unless there is a specific reason, choose WPI 2 as the encryption method.
Create a strong password that contains letters, numbers, and symbols. See that the basis of the password is not personal information.

When configuring the router, change the log-in information. This usually happens in the Admissions section of the Advanced menu.
